SHELTER SUPPORT PROGRAMS
Denton Animal Support Foundation’s mission is to save more Denton area animals. We accomplish this while focusing on two major components the Linda McNatt Animal Care and Adoption Center (City of Denton Animal Shelter) and the Denton area community. Growth in both the human and pet populations in the Denton area has increased the number of pets entering the Shelter doors. The support DASF provides can be crucial to the continued high live exit rate of the municipal shelter. Learn more about our programs below!

Thanks to our generous supporters, DASF provides funding for the following programs. Every dollar makes a difference to a pet in need.
Adoption Subsidy Grants
Adoption Subsidy funding allows shelter management to lower adoption fees to enhance adoptability of certain pets, specifically seniors, special needs, hard-to-adopt, and pets that have been overlooked.
General Support
DASF provides much needed general shelter support to Denton area animal shelters to ensure they have much needed supplies and equipment necessary in order to not strain shelter resources.
Emergency Medical Fund
Emergency medical expense funding allows pets to receive needed medical care including medications and surgical procedures to enhance their quality of life and increase their chances of adoption.
Shelter Pet Marketing/PR
DASF provides a high level of visibility for shelter pets available for adoption through social media. Paid ads are purchased automatically for special needs, senior and hard-to-adopt pets. DASF volunteers post many pets daily to increase exposure to potential adopters.
