What is North Texas Giving Day?
North Texas Giving Day is Communities Foundation of Texas’ annual 18-hour online giving extravaganza for North Texas nonprofits. The event is designed to empower every person to give back to their community by supporting local nonprofits and causes they care about in one easy-to-use platform.
The event helps build awareness and support for nonprofits like nothing else. In 2020, $58.8 million was raised through 106,000 donors benefiting over 3,200 local nonprofits, bringing the twelve-year total to over $375 million for our community. NTX Giving Day is the largest community-wide giving event in the nation.
Since its inception in 2009, this online event has transformed from an idea to help local people give wisely, to a movement that has ignited a broad culture of community-wide giving. During NTX Giving Day, everyone has the opportunity to be a philanthropist to build a stronger and more vibrant community.
North Texas Giving Day is DASF’s most crucial fundraiser of the year and helps ensure our lifesaving work can continue.

Why Give on North Texas Giving Day?
The treatment and survival of animals in the Denton community are greatly improved due to your generosity as a DASF donor. Your funds are essential as we work to provide support for homeless and neglected pets. Since 2010, North Texas Giving Day has been our largest annual fundraiser. Financial support received from NTxGD provides crucial funds used to support the shelter and community.
We aim to give shelter animals in our community more than a home, we aim to give them a second chance for a better life. Thanks to North Texas Giving Day, we are able to continuously provide Adoption Subsidy Grants to the Denton Animal Shelter throughout the year. By lowering adoption fees for harder-to-place pets, we are connecting an animal with someone who will love them forever. We are creating a relationship that will enrich both lives in countless ways. A single animal has the power to spread joy, enable people, and in turn, create a more loving community.
