Our mission has always been to save more Denton area animals. As an animal lover, you know how a furry little friend can make a big impact on a person’s life. What you may not know is how easy it is to return the favor. Thanks to the Kroger Community Rewards program, a little effort can go a long way to improving the lives of animals in our area.
Big Hearts Fill Carts
The Kroger Community Rewards Program gives back to nonprofit organizations every year. As a Kroger customer, you can designate the Denton Animal Support Foundation as your nonprofit of choice. (Remember, you must renew your organization every year to continue your support.) There are zero fees to sign up, and it adds nothing to your grocery bill ﹘ all you have to do is continue shopping at Kroger.
Filling your cart helps to fulfill the needs of Denton animals. Each time you check out, the cashier will scan your Plus Card and Kroger will automatically donate a percentage of your total to DASF. Together, DASF supporters can turn little, everyday purchases into meaningful aid for abandoned and neglected animals via the programs we fund.
It All Adds Up
We first partnered with Kroger’s Community Rewards Program in 2009. Since then, with the help of supporters, the Denton Animal Support Foundation has received nearly $123,000 in grant money from this program, which has gone toward assisting the City of Denton Animal Shelter as well as other animal welfare initiatives. This includes helping to fund both our Capital Campaign for the construction of the Linda McNatt Animal Care & Adoption Center, and our Adoption Subsidy Fund, which promotes adoption of shelter pets by subsidizing adoption fees.

It’s EASY to support Denton animals:
Go to the Kroger website and sign in or create an account (if creating a new account, have your Plus Card ready).
Click "My Account" under the "My Account" drop down menu on the right side of the screen.
On the left side of the screen, click "Community Rewards."
On the Community Rewards page, change the "View by Type" drop down menu to "Animals."
Search "Denton Animal Support Foundation" or the organization number "IG768" in the "Find an Organization" search box.
Click "Enroll."
